Terms and Conditions 

Welcome to the Hector’s World whānau competition. By participating in this competition, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.  

Eligibility and entry information 

• You must be a New Zealand Resident to participate. 
• The competition runs from 1 May at 08:00 to 15^th July 2024 at 17:00 New Zealand Standard Time.  
• Entrants must be over the age of 18. 
• Valid entries are correct and legible, including all the details requested and a valid email address.  
• Multiple entries with the same email are not permitted. 
• Entrants can access the competition entry form via the Netsafe website. 
• Netsafe takes no responsibility for late, lost, or misdirected entries. 
• Entry into the competition constitutes consent to use the winner’s name for publicity without additional compensation. 
• Direct employees and affiliates of Netsafe or any of the associated sponsor organisations or funding bodies are not eligible to apply. 
• Netsafe reserves the right to conduct a re-draw if a participant selected as the winner cannot satisfy the eligibility and entry criteria. 

Selection of winners: 

• Using trustworthy software, winners will be drawn randomly from correct and eligible entries on 17^th July 2024. 
• The winner of the 1^st prize will be the first valid entry drawn and will be notified by email on 17^th July 2024. It is the responsibility of entrants to ensure their contact details are correct. 
• Fifty additional entries will be drawn for the runner-up prizes. 
• Netsafe reserves the right to re-draw the winner of either the 1^st prize or a runner-up prize if the winner has not responded to the email notification within 5 working days. 

Privacy  

• Netsafe collects personal information from you, including information about your: 
  • name 
  • contact information 
  • survey responses.
• We collect your personal information in order to: 
  • administer the Hector’s Word whānau competition 
  • inform future development of resources and services to support parents of young people aged 5 – 10 years in respect of any survey responses you may provide. 
• Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter contact details, you’ll be unable to enter our competition. 
• Netsafe will not retain your personal information (name and contact details) beyond the 31^st July or until all prizes have been allocated and confirmed (whichever comes first). 
• Data gathered via the survey questions will be viewed only by Netsafe and used to inform future development of resources and services to support parents of young people aged 5 – 10 years. All information gathered from the survey questions will be anonymised by removing names and email addresses from all responses. 
• Entrants have the choice to ‘opt-in’ to receiving the Netsafe monthly newsletter. Opting-in means that Netsafe will retain name and address details in a separate database used only to distribute the monthly newsletter. 
• Entrants have the choice to ‘opt-in’ and share their details with prize sponsors Springfree trampolines. Opting-in means that they may be contacted by Springfree for promotional purposes.  
• You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at [email protected].
