First Phones Advice

Getting your first phone is a milestone for many children, but with 87% of parents worried about what their children are viewing online* , smartphone safety is a huge concern.

To encourage conversations about smartphone safety with children, 2degrees has teamed-up with UK Grime Icon, Scrufizzer, and Netsafe, to create the First Phones Programme.

The initiative includes an information hub and ten safety tips featured on a limited run of free, brightly coloured boxes for parents to put a new or hand-me-down smartphone into.

It also includes a templated agreement to help parents and kids agree the ground rules to phone behaviour, informational articles and numbers to call if someone you know is having a hard time online.
