Hector's World is a fun and entertaining animated online safety education series for tamariki aged between 5 and 10 years-old. Videos and conversation guides are available freely to New Zealand families, while an complimentary suite of 70+ resources are available to NZ Primary Schools.
Netsafe's Youth Action Squad (YAS) (/our-work/youth-action-squad)is an opportunity for high school-aged young people to contribute to online safety policies, campaigns and resources so they can enact change in their own communities.
A recent YAS initiative saw the group create a YAS toolkit for high school students around the country to help other young people establish their own Youth Action Squad.
The Sticks ’n Stones anti-bullying initiative is now Powered by Netsafe. This strategic move aims to expand the reach of the highly successful programme from Otago, taking it to a national level to combat bullying and promote digital wellbeing among young people across New Zealand.
