How to spot a scam
Too good to be true:
If an offer looks unbelievably good, take a moment to evaluate it. Scammers often lure people in with fantastic deals.
Unexpected contact:
Be wary of messages that come out of the blue. Scammers frequently initiate contact.
Pressure tactics:
If someone is urging you to act fast, slow down and consider the situation carefully.
How to report a scam
Reporting a scam is easy and crucial in combating online scammers.
- Gather information: Note down details such as phone numbers, email addresses, or website links.
- Report it: Contact Netsafe for advice if you've spotted a scam.
