Hello, I am Brent Carey!
I am very happy you are here!
I joined Netsafe as the CEO in early May 2022 after previously serving as New Zealand’s Domain Name Commission. Prior to that I held senior positions at the Australian Telecommunications Ombudsman and the Victorian Department of Justice.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in regulatory, privacy, safety and response environments, along with a good understanding of both local and global online industries and a commitment to community safety.
My local memberships include the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute, the Institute of Company Directors, Te Āti Awa iwi and I am a founder of Taranaki-based, Green Meadows Beef.
